: i want an indian-theme wedding dammit!

am more than fueled to wed in a saree! haha. have been completely zealous over them jingly glass bangles, pretty henna art canvassing an entire hand and oh! such vibrant colors and exquisite textures! simply divine ♥

ok, it doesnt exactly need to be indian but more or less woven around the culture and its inspiring details. we could do it outdoors, omit the noisy thumps of classical indian music [LOL], have a mod sense of indian decor plus a lil bit of various cultural feel. subtle. sweet. and still having the substance to carry out our personal, religious values of a wedding ceremony. i like a lil vibe of culture, don't you? ;D ok, fine. just not my own. lol.

so what does yiwen thinks? well.. its fine with him but he says he'd rather have a forest-theme wedding. yeah, probably with me holding an iguana and a monkey sitting on his shoulder. haha! i guess we would have to come to another compromising deliberation. hmph..

but yeah, why am i talking about weddings? well. i guess every other girl thinks bout these things once they turn 20? and i assume i have decided on who i want to walk down the aisle to and spend the rest of my life with so, why not talk about it?

and ok ok. i really, only got hyped up from MAYA.. where i wore a saree! woot! lmao. have never been so sucked into the indian culture. haha. ok, got la. have never SEEN so many indian ppl in limkokwing tho! lol ;D but the event was really well-done. the plaza was transformed into this sorta boombox arena of beats, audiences and there was even a steel concert-like stage! here, lookie:

so yeah. what can i say? i like channeling my inner indian. and hey, i'd rather wear a saree than a cheongsam any day! although, come to think of it, i've NEVER worn aye cheongsam. ah well. here's my camwhore sessions:

: conspicuous consumption.

ok, i admit: i'm a full-out conspicuous consumer. sigh. i just got off from skype with yiwen and he told me of the new HP ProBook 4410s. the thing is, my mom is totally permitted on getting me a PINK Sony VAIO CS for christmas ♥ yippie! but noo, yiwen thinks its too expensive, has got lots of inadequacies and all that technical IT bull. so yeah, he suggested de HP model instead.. its got better specs, blah blah blah.. but it looks like this:

sigh, so boring. so businessman. so unattractive. and it doesnt even come in PINK! hmph. pfft. blaaah! on the other hand, de sony VAIO would look fer-shiizz sophisticated. stunning. oh-so-glam! chic. stylish-ious and absolute L♥VE. ahhhhh :D

eeks! u drooling at what i'm drooling at?! fine. fine. i understand that HP is a more reliable lappie brand with probably better specs and all but. but. oh gosh! i'm just so in lurve with VAIO! i mean, its PINK for crying out loud! hahaha X.x i know i sound crazy but this is the fantasy world i live in: the want over the need. the desire of luxury over quality. the VAIO over the HP! urgh!

so do i value material happiness over social crisis? i mean, if i get the VAIO, yiwen would.. well, nag. and if i get the HP.. meianne would.. well, sag :( haha. fine! i have come to a decision: i'll wait for christmas to come ;P teehee. oh. and then new specs for windows 7 aka windows vienna would be out so yeah.. till then, i shall engaged in more reflective deliberation, with myself [the squanderer] as well as with yiwen [the meager]. mmmh, phooey! we'll just have to wait and see then.

oh! oh! on another note, i watched UP last night with al and michelle :D such a lovely lovely movie. viewers are definitely up for an emotional rollercoaster ride ;D

: fashion joe weekend.

boy, what a weekend ;D i decided to stay over at cyberjaya since i had to attend this annual fashion show held on sunday at bangsar. my entire pr class was forced into going. pfft. i'll talk about that later. so, like on saturday, i followed stella to her church at 8pm but we went to IOI before that and caught G.I. Joe on de big screen! yeah baby ;)

so.. how did i find the movie? well, let's see.. popular landmark destroyed? checked. funny and somewhat clueless black sidekick? checked. european villain? checked. tall, lean, beautiful blonde-turn-brunette [object of every man's desire] in skin-tight leather suit? sigh and checked. evil martial-arts chinese fighter.. in. ninja. attire? checked, and laughed at :D weird-ass technological advancements used for merciless acts? checked. bam bam, boom boom.. on land, in the sky and underwater? fer-sure checked;D

ok ok, antics and stereotypes aside, it was a GREAT movie! :D haha. i love! love! love! de awesome CGI. not as blingy and overly complex as Transformers and definitely not as boring as a puny ol' feather in Forest Gump. also, good plot. basically worked with every textbook stereotypes of all cultures and storyline of comic heroes. yeap, i'm down with that ;) highly recommended for all to watch! haha.

now that's that. the rest of the day was spent with stella, starbucks and shawarma! mmm, yums ♥ and now we move on to sunday.. reached bangsar at around 4pm by heng fong's car, watched the fashion show from atop for at least 20 minutes and then was bored outta my mind! din had the G.I. Joe effects that i liked, ok? just plain piece of cloths that were clearly made only for the runway. monotonous, repetitive and boy, did it make me hungry!

went to coffee bean with stella. met john and hatia along the way. was later joined by heng fong and liz. hahaha. i had a white chocolate macadamia cookie thingy and a white chocolate latte ♥

so after coffee bean, we chilled at chili's ;) it was us students at one long set of tables and another set of tables of lecturers at the next and damn, were we making so much noise! haha. just sat there and talked till around 9pm and cioaz. a very fun session, away from the plaza yet pretty similar. like i've said a million times, they should build a friggin' mall next to our college! makanlah would so-o run outta business and we'd have better hang-out spots! urgh. now its back to boring sighbore, with nothing to do but to wait for the assignments to come crashing in.. mmm, actually, i CAN wait. gimme more lepak sessions puh-leeze! ;D

: sighbore boredoms.

ok, so here's the thing.. i have been bored out of my witz these past days and well, with college JUST starting and all, i should have foreseen such conditions but i guess 3 months of holidays simply gives you brain lapse and urgh, i've just been so moody! too much of free and alone time probably does that to you.

so what i did was.. went grocery shopping and spend some time with my debit card ♥ i needed to get out of my cramped single bedroom and stop staring at my reflection all day long while streaming movies after movies on ppstream. here, i'll show you how i do this simultaneously..

uh huh, i've got two screens to look at. one live and the other streamed ;D

so as i was saying, needed time out of my bedroom so i went to alamanda last thursday.. all by myself! ah well. bought a shit load of groceries, like 70bucks worth of it to be exact! haha, and its all for teeny ol' me. ok, i kinda made a pact with myself that this semester i'd start cooking or preparing my own meals and well, obviously i needed to get ingrediants and shit so there goes 70bucks spent on groceries! for myself. ahh, it was worth it.

so when i got home, i whipped up my mixing skills and made myself aye yummy portion of tuna salad ♥ i placed some salad-y veggies unto a bowl, then came de chunks of tuna mixed with dijon mustard [yums!], pepper and some salad dressing, topped off with a poached egg! some crouton [ok ok, its just some schmancy fancy name for toasted bread cut into bite size pieces] and tiny slices of cheese! here, i'll show you how it looks..

hehe, see de poached egg? i'm an expert at making poached eggs now :D so yeah, my next meal's gonna be another experiment and this time, i will actually cook. hope i dont blow up the kitchen X.x

so yeah, besides that, i will be going on hiatus at starbucks due to.. well, my studies. teehee. it was a good decision as i can go for more last-minute events nowadays and not have to juggle around my priorities and commitment. but its funny how my colleagues thought i quit and ended up presenting me with a superbly nice card. aww, am touched! but no, i've not quit. i've simply called for a temporary stop where i will not be put into the working schedule unless i request for it ;D although, i DID wanted to called it quits. haha. but my manager suggested this alternative and i went for it. why not ey? so yeah ppl, i DID NOT quit.. yet. :)
